There are two ways to get toned arms: the fast way and the slow way. Most women are stuck with the slow way because they do not know how to prevent plateaus. They do the same routine week in and week out.

Luckily for you, I’m going to make sure you never get stuck with the slow way. How? By showing you advanced techniques that will turn an average arm workout into a results-producing gem.

If you read the first part of this article, you already have an idea of what I’m talking about. And here are another 4 ways on how to get toned arms faster than ever before:

1. Blowout sets. Considered a “finishing” technique, these should only be done as the last set of an exercise. Why? Because you will use a light weight and perform as many repetitions as necessary for your arms to reach complete exhaustion. Use a weight that allows you to reach failure at about 20 repetitions. This is a great tool for targeting your slow twitch muscle fibers and for depleting any lingering glycogen (carbohydrate) stores. As always, make sure your form does not deviate.

2. Back-to-back sets. A great technique for getting toned arms ASAP, back-to-back sets involve doing one exercise immediately after another without any rest in between. The key here is to not get ANY rest in between the two exercises. Since you are doing two exercises one after the other, without any rest, you have to use perfect breathing technique so that you don’t end up starving for oxygen. Turning blue in the middle of an exercise is not fun!

3. Curling against a wall. What’s the biggest drawback when doing biceps curls? The difficulty of maintaining good form when going heavy. What’s the best solution? Curling against a wall! If you place your back against a wall when doing biceps curls, it’s virtually impossible to cheat—no matter how heavy you go. Now don’t expect to use a lot of weight when doing this technique, it’s very hard. But brutally effective for getting defined arms.

4. Pausing and squeezing at the end of triceps exercises. If you think triceps press-downs are tough, wait till you try this variation. Pausing and squeezing will turn that faint tingling sensation you feel in your triceps area into a massive burning sensation. Your reward for enduring the pain? Sexy and sculpted arms in no time. The first time I tried this technique I could not believe how effective it was. So I kept on doing it again and again just to make sure. And I kept on getting great results again and again.
